    A bit dated.

Some old horror movies are fun--even if they are not what one would call "scary" today. This film, however, emerges as a bit of a bore because it lacks style and suffers from a weak, contrived plot. Moreover, what constituted "horror" in the director’’s mind in the 1960’’s is laughable today. This combination of flaws makes watching this film a chore.

    Rental only.

    Disappointed....

I’’ve bought two copies of this movie on DVD and each one was missing the ghost viewers. Buyer beware if you buy this DVD....you may get what you pay for or you may not.

    GOOD OL’’ B RATED FUN!

This is a very quite dated horror film that dates all the way back to the 60s, (1960 to be exact) which therefore the special effects and the scares are less shocking by todays standards. However, it was all still good for it’’s time and after watching it myself, I thought the use of illusion for this film was nicely done! The Illusion-O feature on side A of the disk is where you get to use the glasses at some scenes in order to see the ghosts, while side B doesn’’t have the theatrical version with the glasses but more of a normal viewing. The movie itself, is excellent whether you use the glasses or not. There are some special effects though that I thought were VERY laughable! (You can see the strings on some of the floating objects such as the fly and the jar of milk) The acting on the other hand is the BEST I’’ve seen in horror for such a long time and was possibly the only thing that saved this movie and made it thrilling enough to entertain and please audiences worldwide! Sure, it’’s a bit silly looking at times, but even today the ghost effects are pretty creepy looking while everything else is like cardboard compared to how much movies have upgraded over the years. A good ol’’ B-rated horror flick that’’s sure to please just about ANYBODY who likes a good scare but with some laughs along the way! Cheesy but great fun for the hardcore B-movie collector. Be sure to also check out the remake, "Th13een Ghosts" (2001) because it’’s very improved and the scares are just as good (if not better!) Oldschool horror is a treat!!
